Celebration Day for Girls

A workshop for mothers and daughters.

Many of us missed out on a positive and well-informed start to puberty and periods, and have dealt with secrecy and embarrassment for many years. Research has shown that if girls experience a negative approach to their changing body and the menstrual cycle, they can grow up with:

  • lowered self-confidence when their period starts

  • embarrassment or disgust about their body

  • a reluctance to talk about health or body issues

  • a lack of useful and positive information

  • compromised self-care and well-being.

To prevent this, Celebration Day for Girls has been carefully crafted to offer a beautiful and fun day for 10-12-year-old girls and their mother/female carer so you can both feel informed, confident and open about her changes.

If you or a group of friends & daughters are interested in a workshop, let's arrange a time!

"What a warm afternoon. Recommended for families with daughters. May the next generation of girls be more comfortable with their bodies and live out their potential." - Ding Ding (Mother)
"In addition to my daughter's harvest of knowledge, I also recieved a lot under Valentina's guidance. Sharing the experience of menarche that I almost forgot with my daughter, thinking about my fear when I was a child, and looking forward to my daughter's uncoming menarche...  I think this workshop is worth it." Fei Yan (Mother)
"Thank you Valentina, for leading the sessions that let our girls have a relaxed atmosphere to learn this very important material. It was healing and nourishing even for me in the process." Zi Xuan (Mother)
"It was an amazing day for both my daughter and I, it was not just a workshop, it was also a bonding day for mothers and daughters and women in general... as a mother I believe all girls this age should join this kind of workshop to learn what some of us didn't even know but should've known at their age" - Xenia (Mother)
